As the novel coronavirus spreads, disrupting life as we know it for everyone in Maryland and the world, we are doing all we can to keep our community and staff safe.
UM Shore Medical Center at Chestertown has the expertise and experience to advance this cause. But due to the scope of the crisis we need more resources.
The Chester River Health Foundation’s mission is to raise funds that steward and enhance healthcare excellence for the people who live in or visit the communities served by UM Shore Medical Center at Chestertown and Chester River Home Care. Our endeavors whole-heartedly support the over-arching, Shore Regional Health mission of “Creating Healthier Communities Together.” The Foundation is governed by an all-volunteer Board of Directors and seeks charitable donations and grants from a broad, public base that includes individuals, businesses and foundations.
Charitable donations are used to: purchase state-of- the-art medical equipment which is used for diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation; fund facility improvements and expansions; provide scholarships for nursing and support staff’s continuing, professional education and certification; and provide community education programs. One hundred percent (100%) of the gifts contributed to us are used right here in this community. The Chester River Health Foundation was established in 1993 and incorporated in 2005, and is a Maryland not-for-profit charitable corporation exempt from federal taxation under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The Foundation is a proud member of the University of Maryland Medical System and Shore Regional Health.
